Last week I got to be part of a super cool project at Westminster Place – a CommonBond Community on the East side of St. Paul. With the help of KaBoom, Home Depot and over 280 volunteers, a playground was erected in one day for this community, whose nearest public recreation was a dog park....

june owlets
good grief, its june. the swollen river has already backed off the beaches. the plum tomatoes are flowering in the garden. and i have seven screech owlets living in the silver maple behind the back porch. i am astonished, seven baby owls coo me lullabys each dusk. their yellow eyes glow. and little coos click....
